无论什么操作系统,解决问题的办法都是很类似的,在平时的管理之中做好文档实际上是十分必要的。好记性不如烂笔头,学而时习之,这也是我愿意记录点滴的原因吧。

1. In order, what are the three phases of any network or computer troubleshooting scenario?
A:
1. Identify the most specific cause of the problem.
2. Pick the appropriate tool to fix the problem.
3. Document the solution.

2. What are the four main server subsystems and what do they commonly consist of?
A:
The four main server subsystems are network, disk, processor, and memory. They commonly consist of Adapter and cable, Hard Disk and controller card, CPU, BUS and Cache and RAM and Virtual Memory respectively.

3. What must an administrator do in order to ensure that steps are not redone, actions are not duplicated, and everything is known about a particular piece of hardware or software?
A:
The administrator must keep well-written and concise documentation.

4. Name at least four things that should be documented on a server.
A:
1. Installed software.
2. Installed hardware.
3. Past problems or issues and how they were approached and fixed.
4. Latest service patches and hotfixes that have been applied.

5. What are the two categories of tools for troubleshooting?
A:Information gathering and configuration tools.
